2026 Exemplary Women Awards

Ten women recognized for leadership across public service, business, the arts and education are honored during a public ceremony and outdoor exhibit in Lummus Park on Miami Beach. Presented by the Miami Beach Commission for Women, the 2026 Exemplary Women Awards take place Tuesday, March 10 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, between 8th and 9th streets along Ocean Drive.
Held during Women’s History Month, the event celebrates individuals whose work has contributed to the civic, cultural and professional life of the community. This year’s honorees include State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, REEFLINE founder Ximena Caminos, jazz vocalist Nicole Henry, Miami Beach Police Department Commander Shantell Mitchell, Bass Museum of Art Executive Director Silvia Karman Cubiñá, eMerge Americas co-founder and CEO Melissa Medina, Miami Beach Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Center co-founder Robin Jacobs, gynecologist Dr. Elizabeth Etkin-Kramer, education leader Sofia Buttacavoli and Emmy Award-winning journalist Lisa Petrillo.
Following the ceremony, the exhibit remains on view throughout the month of March in Lummus Park, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about the honorees and their contributions to the Miami Beach community. Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public.
