305 Cleanup: Backstage at The Bandshell
Nov 14, 2026
Starting: 9:00 AM
A morning beach cleanup leads backstage at one of North Beach’s landmark music venues. Presented by 305 Cleanup and Rhythm Foundation, 305 Cleanup: Backstage at the Bandshell takes place Saturday, November 14, pairing coastal stewardship with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Miami Beach Bandshell.
The schedule includes:
- 9 a.m.: Check-in, orientation and equipment pickup on the beach behind 73rd Street, between the 72nd and 74th Street lifeguard towers, followed by litter collection along the sand, shoreline and surrounding public spaces.
- 11 a.m.: Weighing the collected litter and a group photo, followed by the backstage tour.
- Following the tour: A volunteer raffle with prizes including concert tickets, museum passes, gift cards and T-shirts.
Special collections support recycling and reuse of cigarette butts, electronic waste, used sneakers and selected plastics. The tour offers a closer look at the open-air Bandshell, designed in 1961 by modernist architect Norman Giller and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Participation is free and open to all ages. Advance registration and a completed liability waiver are required. Cleanup supplies are provided; volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and bring sun protection and a reusable water bottle.
