Indulge your sweet tooth this January at A Festival of Chocolate, an annual celebration of all things chocolate that promises a weekend of tastings, demonstrations and hands-on activities. Running from January 18-19, 2025 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, this two-day event offers an array of experiences for chocolate enthusiasts of all ages.
Take part in the Array of Spice Seminar, where you’ll embark on a culinary journey through the bold flavors of cacao. Held at 11:30 a.m., this interactive seminar features tastings of chocolate-infused dishes, including appetizers, main courses and desserts made from premium Grenadian cacao. You’ll also learn about the health benefits of chocolate and have the opportunity to purchase artisanal products.
For a more indulgent experience, unwind with the Wine and Cupcakes pairing, available for guests 21 and over. Enjoy this delightful combination of cupcakes and carefully selected wines at sessions held at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Pairing Parlor. Or, get creative with the Sweet Bar Studio, where you can craft your very own custom chocolate bar, mixing in your favorite toppings for a personalized treat.
Families can enjoy The Candy BAR, a fun activity where you can decorate your own chocolate bar with a variety of toppings, from sprinkles to crushed cookies, for $13. For adults seeking a refined chocolate experience, the Chocolate & Spirits tasting offers expertly crafted pairings, such as a mini chocolate cocktail flight or a bourbon and chocolate tasting, elevating the flavors of both.
Throughout the event, explore offerings from local artisans and vendors, showcasing small-batch chocolates with unique flavors. Whether you’re attending a seminar, creating a chocolate masterpiece, or sampling handcrafted sweets, A Festival of Chocolate is a perfect way to celebrate the new year in Miami's magical garden setting.
General admission is included, however the Array of Spice Seminar ($34), Wine and Cupcakes ($34), Sweet Bar Studio ($25), The Candy BAR ($13) and Chocolate & Spirits ($34) events require an additional fee to participate.
