A weekend devoted to chocolate unfolds across Fairchild’s tropical gardens with tastings, demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages.
The 19th Annual A Festival of Chocolate takes place January 24-25 at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. The two-day event transforms the 83-acre garden into a chocolate-focused destination, featuring artisanal vendors, live culinary demonstrations and educational programming that explores chocolate from its rainforest origins to finished confections.
Programming includes an artisan chocolate marketplace, chef-led demonstrations and seminars examining the history, science and ethical sourcing of cacao. Optional ticketed experiences range from hands-on chocolate workshops and curated chocolate and beverage pairings to cocktail tastings and wellness programming such as yoga and sound baths. Family-friendly activities are offered throughout the garden, including interactive crafts, games and themed attractions for children.
Live entertainment complements the culinary offerings, while visitors can also explore Fairchild’s permanent collections, butterfly exhibits and tropical landscapes. The festival aligns with Fairchild’s broader mission to connect food, ecology and conservation through engaging, educational experiences.
