Jun 11, 2025
From: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Filmmakers and content creators looking to navigate the challenges of limited-budget production can gain valuable insights during a special industry workshop at NYFA Miami in South Beach. ABFF Masterclass: Producing Stories on a Restricted Budget, part of the American Black Film Festival lineup, takes place on Wednesday, June 11.
Led by Luisa Ibañez, a seasoned Florida-based film and television producer and member of the Producers Guild of America, the session will cover key strategies for developing and delivering high-quality content on a modest budget. Drawing from over two decades of experience across U.S. and Latin American markets, Ibañez will walk participants through the full production process—from concept development and packaging to budgeting, scheduling, clearance and distribution.
This masterclass is geared toward emerging and independent producers seeking practical tools to create globally resonant stories with limited resources. The discussion will also touch on maximizing partnerships and creative efficiency while maintaining production value.
