Alhambra Orchestra: From Folk to Classical

Immerse yourself in a global musical journey as talented chamber ensembles bring folk traditions to life through classical arrangements. From Folk to Classical, presented by the Alhambra Orchestra, takes place on Sunday, March 16 at the historic Coral Gables Congregational Church. Under the direction of Daniel Andai, small ensembles will perform a diverse program featuring folk-inspired works from England, Romania, Ireland, Spain, Russia, Latin America and the United States. The intimate setting allows audiences to experience the nuanced performances of string, woodwind and brass instruments up close, with compositions by renowned composers including O'Connor, Vaughan Williams, Copland, Bartok and Dvorak. This free concert, presented by Miami's community orchestra, requires no tickets or reservations.
