Mar 01, 2026
Starting: 7:30 PM
An intimate chamber music concert brings together rarely heard arrangements and lyrical classics in a setting designed for close listening and shared experience.
Spring Serenade takes place Sunday, March 1 at the Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ, presented by the Alhambra Orchestra. The program features the original small-ensemble version of Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring, alongside Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Piano with featured soloists Ciro Fodere on piano and Daniel Andai on violin. Members of the orchestra also perform Elgar’s Serenade for Strings and Nimrod, as well as a special chamber adaptation from Mozart’s The Magic Flute highlighting principal flutist Carol Naveira Nicholson with the wind section.
Presented in Coral Gables’ historic Congregational Church, the concert offers a varied program of chamber works suited to the acoustics and scale of the space. Spring Serenade is free and open to the public and reflects the Alhambra Orchestra’s ongoing commitment to accessible classical music and community-centered performance.
