An Afternoon with Bruce Weber
This event has passed.
A public conversation and book release brings photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber to Books & Books to reflect on decades of image-making across fashion, portraiture and film.
An Afternoon with Bruce Weber centers on the release of Weber’s latest books, My Education and All-American XXV: Let in the Light, offering insight into the creative life and evolving vision of one of contemporary photography’s most influential figures. During the event, Weber discusses themes that have shaped his work, including identity, physicality, human connection and artistic collaboration, drawing from images and personal reflections featured in the new volumes.
My Education presents more than 500 photographs spanning Weber’s career, from iconic fashion editorials to intimate portraits and previously unpublished material. Organized thematically rather than chronologically, the book traces the ideas and relationships that have informed his practice, alongside personal texts and literary excerpts that illuminate his creative influences. All-American XXV: Let in the Light continues Weber’s long-running exploration of Americana through portraiture and visual storytelling.
The event takes place Saturday, February 7. Admission is free and open to the public, with books available for purchase and signing. RSVP is required for entry, though seating is not guaranteed.
