An Evening of Virtuosity
Feb 27, 2026
From: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Award-winning pianists Paul Posnak and Anita Castiglione present a duo recital celebrating virtuosity, collaboration and the Rotary Club of Coral Gables’ 80th anniversary.
Taking place Friday, February 27 at Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ, An Evening of Virtuosity features a program for one piano, four hands, performed by the internationally acclaimed artists, both Coral Gables residents. The repertoire spans sparkling sonatas by Mozart and Francis Poulenc, Maurice Ravel’s impressionistic Mother Goose Suite, a lyrical work by Florence Price, Cuban danzones by Ernesto Lecuona and George Gershwin’s rhythmically charged Cuban Overture.
Paul Posnak, a First Prize winner of both the International J.S. Bach Competition and the Concert Artists Guild Competition, began his studies at The Juilliard School at age eight and earned Juilliard’s Loeb Prize, its highest honor. His career has included performances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the White House and the U.S. Supreme Court, along with appearances throughout Europe and Asia. A Professor Emeritus at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, Posnak is widely recognized for his expertise in the music of George Gershwin and Fats Waller.
Anita Castiglione holds degrees from the University of Miami and The Juilliard School and a doctorate in Collaborative Piano. An accomplished soloist and collaborative artist, she has performed nationwide, including at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and Yamaha Recital Hall in New York, and has worked with artists from the Metropolitan Opera and the Cleveland Orchestra. She currently serves on the faculty at the Frost School of Music.
The concert takes place in the historic Coral Gables Congregational Church, known for its Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean Revival architecture and intimate acoustics. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served during a pre-concert social hour. Proceeds benefit local and international initiatives supported by the Rotary Foundation of Coral Gables.
