An Evening with Ania Nozewnik-Agárdy
Nov 07, 2025
Starting: 7:30 PM
Ania Nozewnik-Agárdy presents Cuba Inesperada, a coffee table book that uncovers the hidden beauty of Cuban interiors, patios and architectural heritage. In conversation with journalist and cultural leader Sabina Covo, she will share the inspiration behind this limited-edition project, which features a prologue by award-winning novelist Leonardo Padura.
Blending striking photography with Cuba’s rich architectural history, the book offers rare glimpses into spaces across Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Havana, revealing colors, textures, and details that exist beyond the island’s well-known facades. Both an homage to Cuba’s past and a tribute to design as cultural storytelling, Cuba Inesperada appeals to collectors, design enthusiasts and travelers alike.
Nozewnik-Agárdy, an interior designer whose work has been featured in Architectural Digest and Elle Décor, draws on a global perspective shaped by her Polish roots, American upbringing, and professional practice in Miami and beyond. Covo, founder of Sabina Covo Communications and a former City of Miami Commissioner, brings her expertise in media, culture and civic life to the conversation.
An Evening with Ania Nozewnik-Agárdy in conversation with Sabina Covo takes place Friday, November 7 at Books & Books in Coral Gables. Admission is free with RSVP; books will be available for purchase at the event.
