Hosted in partnership with Letra Urbana and Miami Book Fair, the presentation will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
First published in 1998, Las ventanas y las voces is one of Botero’s most celebrated works, praised across Spain and Latin America for its rich narratives and profound insights. The book weaves together seven stories, following the same character at pivotal moments in life, exploring themes of privilege, loss and resilience. Through these tales, Botero delves into the human experience with sensitivity and clarity, touching on topics such as love, violence, and the passage of time.
Juan Carlos Botero, a Bogotá native, is a distinguished author and columnist whose work has been featured in numerous international anthologies. Recognized with prestigious awards like the Juan Rulfo International Short Story Competition and the Latin American Short Story Competition, Botero’s literary contributions continue to resonate widely.
