Discover how South Florida’s visual identity was shaped through the lens of two pioneering photographers in this summer exhibition at HistoryMiami Museum. Annette and Rudi Rada: Photographing Mid-Century South Florida and the Caribbean runs from June 13 through September 14 and presents a compelling collection of images that document the region’s transformation during the mid-20th century.
Spanning nearly three decades of work, the exhibition highlights the Radas’ contributions to capturing Miami’s post-war architectural evolution, the emergence of a modern tropical vernacular and the social and cultural shifts across the Caribbean and South America. Their photographs offer both artistic insight and historical perspective, revealing the changing landscapes and communities of a rapidly developing region.
