Oct 08, 2026
From: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
John Baldessari’s influence on conceptual art comes into focus in a panel discussion examining his use of language, photography and image-making across a career defined by challenging artistic conventions. Presented Thursday, October 8 at Pérez Art Museum Miami, the conversation accompanies John Baldessari: The End of the Line, the first major South Florida survey devoted to the artist.
Panelists Craig Robins, founder of the Craig Robins Collection, and Bonnie Clearwater, director and chief curator of NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, join moderators José Carlos Diaz, PAMM’s senior director of curatorial affairs and chief curator, and Karen Grimson, curator of the Craig Robins Collection and curator of the exhibition. The discussion considers Baldessari’s legacy alongside works spanning painting, photography, video and installation.
The program will also stream live on PAMM’s YouTube channel. Museum admission is free on Thursdays after 5 p.m.
