Artist Reception: Aesthetics of Decay takes place Friday, March 27 at The Betsy Hotel on Miami Beach, within The Betsy Orb, an elevated, egg-shaped skybridge connecting the property’s two buildings. Presented during Spring Break and Miami Music Week, the event offers a contemplative counterpoint to the surrounding energy of the city.
Centered on dNASAb’s immersive XR cinematic work, the installation unfolds as a multi-chapter visual narrative projected across the Orb’s curved interior. Drawing from reclaimed marine debris collected in South Florida waterways, the piece reflects on coastal ecosystems, environmental change and the relationship between natural systems and digital culture.
Free and open to the public with RSVP, the reception provides an opportunity to experience the work in a shared setting while engaging with Miami Beach’s contemporary arts landscape.
