Artist Talks: Tania Candiani
Sep 09, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A multidisciplinary artist known for exploring sound, language and systems of communication reflects on her evolving practice in a public talk at Locust Projects in Little River. Scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, the program is part of the organization’s Artist Talks series, which brings past exhibiting artists back to Miami for in-depth conversations.
The series focuses on revisiting artists’ earlier exhibitions at Locust Projects while tracing the development of their work over time. These discussions offer insight into creative processes, research methods and the broader trajectories of artists whose projects have contributed to the space’s experimental programming.
Tania Candiani, who exhibited at Locust Projects in 2023, works across installation, performance and research-based practices. Based in Mexico City, her work often examines translation across visual, sonic and textual forms, with an emphasis on listening, material history and the intersection of traditional techniques with contemporary technologies.
