Artist Talks: Trenton Doyle Hancock
Apr 08, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A new artist talk series at Locust Projects brings past exhibiting artists back to Miami to reflect on their work and evolving practices. The program offers audiences an opportunity to engage directly with artists whose projects have shaped the organization’s history.
Taking place Wednesday, April 8, the inaugural Artist Talks event features Trenton Doyle Hancock, who exhibited at Locust Projects in 2019. Hancock’s work is known for its expansive, narrative-driven approach, blending autobiography with influences from comics, art history and popular culture to construct a fictional universe exploring themes of good, evil and moral complexity.
Founded in 1998, Locust Projects is Miami’s longest-running nonprofit alternative art space, supporting experimental practices through exhibitions, residencies and public programs. The series continues its mission of fostering dialogue around contemporary art and artistic development.
