Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida: The Nutcracker

Clara’s journey from a holiday gathering to the Kingdom of Sweets unfolds through dancing snowflakes, a battle with the Mouse King and Tchaikovsky’s familiar score. Performances run Friday, December 11 through Sunday, December 13 at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The annual production has been part of South Florida’s holiday season for nearly three decades.

Choreographed by Artistic Director Vladimir Issaev, the ballet features Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida’s professional dancers alongside young performers from the local community and character artists. The staging includes the Waltz of the Flowers, the Sugar Plum Fairy’s Grand Pas de Deux, theatrical scenery and colorful costumes.

Lap tickets for children 12 months and younger may be purchased at the box office on the day of the performance. Latecomers will not be seated until intermission.
