Bab L'Bluz
Apr 12, 2026
Starting: 8:00 PM
A hypnotic fusion of North African tradition and psychedelic rock arrives with a sound shaped by trance rhythms, vintage textures and amplified blues. Bab L’Bluz brings its high-voltage blend of Gnawa-inspired grooves, fuzzed-out guitar lines and call-and-response vocals to Miami Beach, channeling both ritual intensity and rock energy.
Formed by Moroccan singer and guembri player Yousra Mansour and French guitarist and producer Brice Bottin, the group draws from Gnawa music alongside the analog spirit of 1960s and 70s psych rock. Joined by Jérôme Bartholomé and Hafid Zouaoui, Bab L’Bluz quickly gained attention following early performances in Europe and the release of their debut album on Peter Gabriel’s Real World Records, which received international critical acclaim. Their reputation has continued to grow through festival appearances and recent U.S. touring, including a widely circulated live session that introduced many American listeners to their immersive, heavy-leaning sound.
Bab L’Bluz performs Sunday, April 12 at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Miami Beach. The concert is presented by the Rhythm Foundation and marks the group’s Florida debut.
