Baker's Brunch: Open Studios and Cafecito
Dec 03, 2026
From: 9:00 AM to Noon
Open artist studios, new exhibitions and a Caribbean-inflected breakfast bring visitors inside the creative community at Bakehouse Art Complex during Miami Art Week. The annual Baker’s Brunch takes place Thursday, December 3, with cafecito, breakfast treats and opportunities to meet resident artists while exploring studios and shared workspaces.
This year’s edition marks the fifth anniversary of Villa Albertine’s residency program in partnership with the Consulate General of France in Miami. Past Villa Albertine artists will activate spaces throughout the campus, while a Creole-inspired breakfast highlights the program’s Caribbean connections. Resident organization Bookleggers will also offer free books during the event.
Visitors can view Homegrown, a group exhibition examining ideas of home, comfort and belonging, and BAKEHOUSE @ COLDEFY / COLDEFY @ BAKEHOUSE, featuring finalists from the Triumphal Arch Open Call, including the winning design, The Porch, by Miami architects Elmer O. García and Olga Kusche-Iglesias. Long-term installations and a mural by Purvis Young will also be on view. RSVP is strongly encouraged.
