Beethoven on the Beach: Miami Beach Bandshell

Orchestra Miami brings its Beethoven on the Beach concert series to the Miami Beach Bandshell for a free outdoor evening of classical music. The performance takes place Sunday, March 29. Led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, the orchestra performs a program highlighted by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92, widely celebrated for its rhythmic vitality and exuberant character.
The concert also features husband-and-wife soloists Karen Lord Powell, violin, and Brian Powell, double bass, performing Giovanni Bottesini’s Gran Duo Concertante for Violin and Bass. Additional selections include Robert Schumann’s Overture, Scherzo and Finale, Op. 52 and the overture to Gioachino Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino.
Held at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Miami Beach, the performance is free with advance reservation, with general admission seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved seating closer to the stage is available for purchase, and a suggested donation is requested for guests entering without advance reservations. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue.
