Beethoven on the Beach: Miami Beach Bandshell

A free outdoor orchestral concert brings Beethoven and Romantic-era repertoire to a waterfront stage in Miami Beach.

Beethoven on the Beach: Miami Beach Bandshell, presented by Orchestra Miami, takes place on Sunday, March 29 at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Miami Beach. Part of the orchestra’s annual Beethoven on the Beach series, the program features husband-and-wife soloists Karen Lord Powell and Brian Powell performing Giovanni Bottesini’s Gran Duo Concertante for Violin and Bass.

Also on the program are Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92 and Overture No. 1 by Louise Farrenc, performed by the 36 musicians of Orchestra Miami under the direction of Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi. The concert is free with advance reservation, with first-come, first-served seating. A limited number of reserved seats near the front are available for purchase, and a suggested donation is requested at the door for those without advance reservations.
