Ben Katzman Homecoming

Miami musician Ben Katzman returns home for a genre-blurring concert that pairs heavy metal, punk and pop with an interactive nod to his time on Survivor. The Friday, November 6 performance at the Miami Beach Bandshell also features local bands MOLD! and Homicide Jenny, with MOLD! marking a new album release and Homicide Jenny celebrating its first anniversary.

A guitarist, songwriter and founder of BUFU Records, Katzman combines shredding guitar work with songs centered on self-empowerment and perseverance. Since becoming a finalist on Survivor, he has continued touring while sharing bills with artists including Primus, Coheed and Cambria and Illuminati Hotties. The Bandshell show will also incorporate Survivor-inspired challenges that give audience members a chance to participate alongside Katzman.

MOLD!, founded by Peruvian-born musician Carlo Barbacci, brings a noise-rock edge to the lineup. Miami glampunk band Homicide Jenny draws from riot grrrl, 1970s punk, no wave and noise rock, rounding out a bill rooted in the city’s independent music scene.
