Brooklyn Kura Better Together Sake Dinner

A collaborative sake release takes center stage at Uchi Miami with a multicourse dinner pairing Brooklyn Kura pours with dishes from chef Diana Martinez. Held Thursday, October 22 in Wynwood, the evening marks the national launch of Better Together, a sake developed jointly by Uchi and Brooklyn Kura after members of Uchi’s culinary and beverage teams traveled to New York to participate in the brewing process.
The menu combines Uchi favorites with dishes created for the event, including hama chili with yellowtail, ponzu, Thai chili and orange supreme; pork belly with Japanese pumpkin, pepper and rosé gastrique; karaage with sweet chili and seasonal pickle and a chef’s selection of nigiri. Five sake pairings feature Better Together alongside additional Brooklyn Kura selections.
Brooklyn Kura co-founder and president Brian Polen joins the dinner to discuss the brewery’s approach to American craft sake and the collaboration behind the new release.
