Campfire and Owl Hike
Sep 25, 2026
From: 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Owls, night wildlife and a campfire shape an after-dark nature program at Bill Sadowski Park & Nature Center. The guided outing takes place Friday, September 25 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and begins with an introduction to local owl species before participants head onto the trails with Miami EcoAdventures naturalists.
The hike explores how the park changes after sunset, with opportunities to look and listen for owls as well as other nocturnal wildlife such as raccoons and night-active spiders. After the walk, participants can gather around a campfire and roast marshmallows; guests should bring their own marshmallows and roasting sticks.
The program is open to adults and to children ages 9 to 17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian. Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Programs are subject to minimum enrollment, weather and environmental conditions.
