Cinematic themes from some of the most recognizable films of the past decades are reinterpreted through live, candlelit string arrangements inside a historic Miami landmark.
Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer is presented at the Scottish Rite Temple, where the Collins Quartet performs a 60-minute program under the glow of candlelight. The concert translates Zimmer’s expansive film scores into classical string interpretations, highlighting atmosphere, rhythm and emotional intensity within the temple’s grand interior.
The program features music from films including Inception, The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Gladiator, Dune and Pirates of the Caribbean, among others. Performances take place on:
- Saturday, August 15 at 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, November 20 at 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday, November 21 at 4 p.m.
- Sunday, January 10 at 4 p.m
- Friday, March 26 at 6:15 p.m.
Doors open 45 minutes before showtime, and late entry is not permitted once the concert begins. Seating is assigned on a first come, first served basis within each zone. The event is open to guests ages 8 and older; please note that the venue is not ADA accessible.
