Carl Cox + Carlita

Carl Cox and Carlita lead a four-DJ night spanning techno, house and eclectic club sounds at Club Space in Downtown Miami. Held Saturday, November 14, the lineup also brings in Miami selectors Ms. Mada and Sister System for a late-night session that balances international headliners with two of the venue’s resident DJs.

A veteran of the acid house era and longtime champion of techno, Cox remains a major presence on the global electronic circuit and co-founded the live-electronic label Awesome Soundwave with Christopher Coe. Turkish-born producer Carlita arrives shortly after the November 6 release of her second album, Telepathy, on Ninja Tune, continuing the genre-blurring approach to house, melodic club music and live instrumentation heard across her recent work.

Ms. Mada, a longtime Club Space resident and booking director, and fellow resident Sister System round out the bill. Sister System is also the founder of the Objects Don’t Dance party series, with sets that move through techno, electro, breaks and other underground electronic styles.

The event is open to ages 21 and older.
