French house, funk, hip-hop and bass-driven club sounds converge in a genre-fluid DJ set from Cezare at ZeyZey’s Tima Disco in Little Haiti. The Paris-based DJ and producer performs Friday, September 11, moving between house, ghettotech, baile funk, UK garage and other groove-centered styles. His approach reflects more than a decade spent shaping contemporary French electronic music through both his own productions and his work behind the scenes.
Born Jean Janin, Cezare founded Roche Musique in 2012, helping develop a label roster that has included FKJ, Darius, Dabeull, Kartell and Didi Han. His releases include the EPs Seize the Day, Attraction and BLISS, with recent material continuing his blend of polished house, R&B-inflected production and global club influences.
