Chameleon
Through Jan 31, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
An immersive performance transforms live percussion into a multi-sensory environment where rhythm, movement and technology intersect.
Chameleon takes over the South Florida Center for Percussive Arts with a two-night experience that blends live drumming, visual projection and interactive technology across indoor and outdoor spaces. Created by MF Dynamics with support from MAD Arts and funding from the Knight Foundation, the project reimagines how audiences encounter sound by translating performers’ movement, pulse and brainwave data into evolving audio and visual compositions.
Each evening unfolds through a series of intimate performances that begin outdoors, where the SFCPA grounds become both stage and large-scale video canvas, before moving inside to a 360-degree environment of live music and immersive visuals. The result is a continuously shifting landscape that reveals the connection between body, instrument and space.
Chameleon runs January 30–31 at the South Florida Center for Percussive Arts. The event is free with RSVP, open to all ages, and designed as a family-friendly experience, with donations accepted.
