Chippy Nonstop & Pressure Point
Oct 09, 2026
Starting: 10:00 PM
Electro-trap, bass-heavy club music and Caribbean-influenced selections meet in the basement of Downtown Miami’s Jolene Sound Room with sets by Chippy Nonstop and Pressure Point. The Friday, October 9 program pairs an internationally traveled DJ, producer and performer with a Miami selector whose work connects club music with Caribbean and diasporic sounds.
Chippy Nonstop moves between dance music, hip-hop and global club styles as a DJ, singer, rapper and producer. Born in Dubai and raised across several countries before settling in Canada, she has also helped expand access to DJ culture through INTERSESSIONS, the workshop initiative she co-founded in 2017.
Pressure Point is the DJ alias of Miami-based artist and cultural programmer Akia Dorsainvil, a founder of the local platform Masisi. Drawing on Haitian and African American roots, his sets range across the Black musical diaspora, using vocals, percussion and club rhythms to build fluid, late-night transitions. The event is open to ages 21 and older.
