A guided walking tour explores how Miami Beach is adapting to climate change through infrastructure and environmental planning. The City of Miami Beach Resilience Tour takes place Friday, March 20, beginning at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park.
Part of the Miami Climate Week lineup presented by Miami Climate 365, the tour leads participants through the nearby Sunset Harbor neighborhood and surrounding waterfront areas while highlighting the city’s ongoing climate resilience initiatives. Along the route, attendees will learn about projects designed to address sea level rise and protect both the natural environment and urban infrastructure.
The tour includes discussion of adaptation strategies such as elevated roadways, upgraded stormwater systems and other resilience measures that help manage flooding and improve long-term sustainability in Miami Beach.
