Cocktails & Cinema™: The Children of Silver Street
Mar 31, 2026
Starting: 7:00 PM
A Danish drama about resilience and chosen family screens at O Cinema South Beach as part of the Cocktails & Cinema series presented by the OUTshine Film Festival. Cocktails & Cinema™: The Children of Silver Street takes place Tuesday, March 31, pairing the film screening with a post-show social hour.
The film follows four siblings who are forced to care for themselves after their mother disappears. To avoid being separated by social services, they hire Miss Nelly, a flamboyant and openly gay aspiring actor, to pose as their nanny. What begins as a temporary solution gradually becomes a meaningful bond, as Miss Nelly offers the children emotional support and stability while navigating his own unpredictable life.
Following the screening, attendees are invited to stay for an hour of complimentary cocktails and conversation with fellow filmgoers. The Cocktails & Cinema series is organized by the OUTshine Film Festival, an annual LGBTQ film festival that highlights international and independent queer cinema.
