Community Action Day at Greynolds Park
Jul 12, 2025 - Dec 13, 2025
monthly on the 2nd Saturday
11am-6:30pm
Support local green spaces and learn about environmental stewardship through monthly volunteer work in one of Miami-Dade’s historic parks. This ongoing initiative gives participants the opportunity to help preserve natural ecosystems while gaining hands-on experience in habitat maintenance.
The Community Action Day at Greynolds Park takes place on the second Saturday of every month. Volunteers assist park staff with tasks such as removing invasive plant species, picking up debris and, depending on the day’s needs, supporting cleanups in nearby East Greynolds Park. The effort is supported by the JQ Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit that promotes sustainability through education and community engagement.
Youth under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers should arrive on time and check in with staff. Closed-toed shoes, sun protection and a refillable water bottle are recommended. Reusable gloves are encouraged. Community service hours are available by request. Advance registration is required through ParkLink.
