Conversations from Overtown, Grief & Celebration

A community altar and guided conversation create space for remembrance, storytelling and connection at Peach on 14th. Presented Tuesday, October 20 by Overtown Arts as part of Overtown, STILL, the gathering invites participants to honor people they have lost while reflecting on the ways their lives and contributions continue to resonate through Overtown.

Guests may bring a photograph, keepsake or simply the name of someone they wish to remember and add it to the community altar. The evening moves from an opening remembrance and naming of loved ones into a community-led conversation exploring grief, memory and celebration, with participants welcome to speak or listen.

The gathering concludes at the altar with tea, something sweet and time for informal connection. Bringing an item for the altar is optional.
