Creative Dyeing & Painting with Florida Native Plants

Creative Dyeing & Painting with Florida Native and Local Plants will be held on Saturday, June 7, at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Participants will work with two Florida-native plants and two commonly used edible plants to create natural dyes and pigments. Under the guidance of artists Debora Rosental and Aida Tejada, attendees will experiment with various dye formulas, develop a sampler of color variations and use stencils to create a custom design on fabric.

All materials are provided, and each participant will leave with a unique piece and practical knowledge of plant-based dyeing techniques. The workshop emphasizes sustainability and accessibility, equipping attendees with creative tools that extend beyond the classroom.
