Dance in the Gardens: Dimensions Dance Theatre

An open-air dance performance transforms Pinecrest Gardens’ Banyan Bowl into a stage where contemporary ballet and the surrounding landscape intersect.

Dance in the Gardens: Dimensions Dance Theatre takes place Saturday, January 31 at Pinecrest Gardens. Part of the Dance in the Gardens series, the evening features Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami in a program choreographed specifically for the Banyan Bowl amphitheater, set beneath a geodesic dome and framed by the gardens’ tropical environment. The series is known for reimagining dance outside traditional theater settings, allowing nature to play an active role in the performance experience.

Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami presents a neoclassical repertoire curated for this outdoor venue, with works that draw visual and thematic inspiration from the setting. The program includes In Bloom and selections from Four Seasons by Yanis Eric Pikieris, Vow by Ariel Rose, Apollo & Daphne by Ben Needham-Wood and Arcadia by Pikieris, offering a range of choreographic styles and musical interpretations.

The performance begins at 8 p.m. in the Banyan Bowl, providing an evening of dance within one of South Florida’s most distinctive garden settings.
