Dance Meets Fashion

A multidisciplinary performance brings choreography and costume design into direct conversation through a curated showcase of new dance works presented for a public audience.

Dance Meets Fashion takes place Sunday, February 22 at the Koubek Center, marking the final presentation of a program developed to support choreographers and dancers with resources to stage and promote original work. The showcase features five selected dance pieces, chosen by a panel of jurors, spanning styles that include classical ballet, contemporary dance, flamenco and Latin ballroom.

Each work is presented with original costumes designed by curator Dario Feal, created in close collaboration with the choreographers to reflect the movement language and conceptual framework of each piece. Following the performance, a post-show Q&A invites audiences to engage more deeply with the artists and gain insight into the creative and collaborative processes behind the program.
