Raw guitars, breakneck rhythms and first-wave American punk come to Little Haiti with a performance by Dead Boys. The concert takes place Thursday, February 4 at Churchill’s Pub, with hard rock band Blacklist Union and additional local support.
Formed in Cleveland in 1975, Dead Boys became fixtures of New York’s early punk scene after relocating to the city and performing regularly at CBGB. Their 1977 debut Young, Loud and Snotty introduced “Sonic Reducer,” a defining song of the era, while the follow-up album We Have Come for Your Children was recorded in Miami in 1978.
Blacklist Union adds a sleaze-rock edge to the bill with heavy guitar riffs and a hard-driving live sound. Additional local performers have not yet been announced.
