Encore WALLCAST® Concert: Fire and Romance
Feb 14, 2026
Starting: 7:30 PM
A Valentine’s Day evening of orchestral drama and lyricism unfolds outdoors as New World Symphony’s Encore WALLCAST® Concert: Fire and Romance transforms SoundScape Park on Miami Beach into an open-air concert hall.
Led by New World Symphony Co-Founder and Artistic Director Laureate Michael Tilson Thomas, this special WALLCAST® presentation revisits a landmark 2020 performance, projected onto the New World Center’s 7,000-square-foot exterior wall. The program pairs passion and spectacle, featuring violinist Nicola Benedetti alongside conducting alum Chad Goodman in a repertoire shaped by Romantic intensity, mythic storytelling and dance-driven energy.
The evening highlights Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, which blends folk-inflected lyricism with a fiery Spanish-inspired finale, alongside Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3, a work rich with warmth and sweeping melodic optimism inspired by the Rhine. Franz Liszt’s symphonic poem Prometheus rounds out the program, channeling drama, struggle and redemption through stormy orchestral color.
The concert takes place Saturday, February 14, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public, with guests encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, picnic baskets and leashed pets for a relaxed outdoor viewing experience.
