Enduring Spark: Opening Reception
Jan 23, 2026
From: 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM
A group exhibition marking a century of Black history brings together contemporary artists exploring legacy, identity and cultural resilience.
Enduring Spark: 100 Years of Black History opens with a public reception on Friday, January 23 at Gato Gordo Gallery. Presented in recognition of Black History Month and the 100th anniversary of its first official observance in the United States, the exhibition draws inspiration from the work and influence of historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Participating local and national artists contribute works that reflect on history, presence and the enduring impact of Black cultural expression.
The exhibition remains on view from January 23 through February 28, 2026, and is free and open to the public.
