Faena Jazz Series: Emma Smith

British vocalist Emma Smith brings a modern approach to swing, standards and vocal jazz to Faena Theater in Miami Beach. Performing Sunday, October 4, Smith appears as part of the ninth annual Faena Jazz Series, which presents established and emerging jazz artists in the intimate theater setting.

Raised in a family of jazz musicians, Smith has performed at venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s, New York’s Birdland and Blue Note Milano. Her collaborations include appearances with Michael Bublé, the Quincy Jones Orchestra, Jeff Goldblum and Postmodern Jukebox, and she has also toured with the Ronnie Scott’s All Stars. In 2024, she was named Jazz Vocalist of the Year at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards.

Smith’s recordings include Meshuga Baby and the 2025 album Bitter Orange, which balance jazz tradition with contemporary songwriting and interpretation. Her Faena performance continues a career built around swing, improvisation and a close connection to the classic vocal-jazz repertoire.

The performance is open to guests of all ages, with check-in beginning 45 minutes before showtime.
