Family Day Mash-Up: Discovering Design Meets In Bloom
This event has passed.
Join the Miami Beach Botanical Garden for an engaging afternoon of family-friendly activities on Sunday, April 7. This free event offers something for everyone, from garden-inspired crafting led by artist Lucia Morales to creating miniature habitat scenes guided by art therapist Sarah Laing. Partake in Sound Bingo hosted by Nature Guide-in-Residence Karina Del Punta, and enjoy sweet treats and more.
At 2:30 p.m., attendees can learn about the sounds of the jungle with a story time reading of Deanna Wundrow's book, "Jungle Drum." Afterwards, everyone is welcome to jam in a workshop led by the South Florida Center for Percussive Arts. Feel free to bring picnic blankets.
This collaborative family day is presented by The Wolfsonian-FIU and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, with the support of the Batchelor Foundation, the Tamara L. Harris Foundation and the Al & Jane Nahmad Family Foundation.
