Farris Wheel Showcase

A Chicago house legend leads a Miami Music Week showcase at MODE Miami on Thursday, March 26.

Gene Farris headlines the Farris Wheel showcase, bringing the spirit of his long-running house music label and event series to the downtown Miami venue. A central figure in Chicago’s house scene since the early 1990s, Farris has released music on influential labels including Defected, Relief and Dirtybird while building a global reputation for energetic DJ sets rooted in classic house grooves and modern club sounds.

The lineup also features an international roster of house and tech house artists including Shiba San, OFFAIAH, Tony Romera, Crusy, Casmalia, LOVRA and Wenzday. French producer Shiba San rose to global prominence with his Beatport-topping track “Okay,” while UK artist OFFAIAH has become a staple of the Defected label with dancefloor favorites such as “Trouble” and “Push Pull.” Together, the performers represent a cross-section of contemporary house music from Europe, the United States and beyond.

Hosted at MODE Miami, an intimate nightlife venue housed in a converted Cold War-era fallout shelter, the event takes place within a space known for its immersive sound design and curated electronic music programming. Admission is limited to guests ages 21 and older.
