Father’s Day Ceramics Workshop with Erica Lores

Create a personalized ceramic piece while celebrating Father’s Day in a hands-on workshop led by Miami-based artist Erica Lores at Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Participants will learn basic hand-building techniques using stoneware clay to shape and decorate a functional mug or bowl—ideal as a thoughtful gift or a collaborative project with a loved one.

The Father’s Day Ceramics Workshop with Erica Lores takes place on Saturday, June 14 and welcomes all ages and experience levels. Each participant will be guided step by step through the process of forming, painting and designing their piece, which will later be glazed with a food-safe finish and kiln-fired at Lores’s Maracuyá Studio. Completed ceramics will be available for pickup approximately 4–5 weeks after the event.

All materials, glazing and firing for one piece per person are included. Children under 6 may share clay with a parent or guardian. This is a hand-building class and does not include use of a pottery wheel.
