Discover the connection between movement, mindfulness and personal empowerment in a supportive community setting. Femme Danse: Empowering Women's Wellness Event takes place on Saturday, March 22 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at Artevivo Dance Studio, offering participants a multifaceted experience centered around feminine energy and self-expression.
The afternoon begins with check-in from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., followed by a one-hour Girl Talk Experience from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. During this segment, attendees will enjoy refreshments while engaging in conversations focused on building sisterhood and strengthening community bonds.
From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., participants will embark on The Sacral Journey, a carefully crafted movement experience designed to awaken creativity and inner power. This two-hour session starts with gentle meditation for grounding, then progresses through a dynamic warm-up into ecstatic dance, where participants are encouraged to release inhibitions and move freely with the music.
The journey continues with modern dance techniques that can be practiced either barefoot or in heels, emphasizing fluid movement and personal expression. Chair dance is incorporated as a prop to explore sensuality, balance and creativity. The movement portion concludes with an accessible, beginner-friendly choreography that integrates all elements of the experience, followed by a reflective cool-down.
Throughout the event, particular attention is given to the sacral chakra—traditionally associated with creativity and sensuality—as participants explore different forms of movement that connect with this energy center. The combination of structured dance techniques and free-form expression creates a balanced approach suitable for all experience levels.
This wellness event provides a unique opportunity for women to explore their authentic selves through movement while building meaningful connections with others in a supportive environment.
