Explore the history of Hannukah lamps, aka menorahs, at the Jewish Museum of Florida’s Festival of Lights exhibition. The exhibit features Rabbi Howard Berman’s expansive collection of menorahs dating from the 1st century BCE to today. Stroll through to see the different styles and materials of menorahs that Berman sourced from all over the world. Named after the Jewish holiday of Hannukah, the exhibit showcases this historical 8 candle lamp that is symbolic of the Maccabean uprising, circa 165 BCE, against the repression of the Seleucid Empire.
