Starting: 7:00 PM
A longtime marriage is tested by aging, memory and unexpected visitors in this intimate Israeli drama from director Shemi Zarhin.
Bliss screens Tuesday, August 12 at the Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC. Starring Sasson Gabay and Assi Levy, the film centers on Sassi and Effi, a couple navigating the quiet challenges of later life. While Sassi grapples with physical decline, Effi draws strength from their emotional connection, until the arrival of their teenage grandson and a former patient disrupts the balance they’ve carefully maintained. With insight and tenderness, Bliss explores the evolving nature of love, desire and the ties that hold a family together.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with kosher wine, popcorn and conversation. Admission is free and open to ages 25 and up.
