Flash Point: Issues in Black Women Photography takes place on Friday, December 5 at The ARC in Opa-locka, presented by Ten North Group and featuring scholar Carole Boyce-Davies and photographer Angèle Etoundi Essamba. The conversation explores themes of representation, memory and resistance while considering how photography functions as both artistic expression and cultural documentation.
Held during Miami Art Week and aligned with an Art Basel Miami satellite exhibition, the event is part of the 13th Annual Art of Transformation. It is free to attend, open to all ages and offers complimentary parking; doors open at 10:30 a.m.
