Mary Shelley’s gothic tale of scientific ambition and its consequences comes to the stage in an atmospheric production at Seminole Theatre in Homestead. Performances take place Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, following Victor Frankenstein as his attempt to unlock the secret of life results in the creation of a being he cannot control. The adaptation explores the increasingly fraught relationship between creator and creature through themes of obsession, isolation, revenge and responsibility.
Directed by Frankie Navarro of MagicArts Studios and produced by Katherine Rubio of Seminole Theatre, the production uses theatrical fog, dramatic lighting, sound and other effects to evoke the shadowy world of Shelley’s novel.
The performance contains adult themes, violent situations, strobe effects, theatrical fog and loud sound effects. Viewer discretion is advised.
