Free Second Saturdays: Landscapes Reimagined
Dec 13, 2025
From: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
A family-friendly art day brings hands-on creativity and gallery exploration to Pérez Art Museum Miami as the museum hosts its monthly community program focused on accessible, intergenerational learning. Centered on contemporary approaches to landscape, the event invites visitors to look closely, experiment with materials and explore how artists transform familiar environments into imaginative new forms.
Free Second Saturdays: Landscapes Reimagined highlights the work of Miami-born artist Teresita Fernández, whose large-scale installations often blur the boundaries between the physical world and the psychological spaces we carry within. Using unconventional materials and illusionistic techniques, her practice encourages viewers to rethink what landscape can mean and how histories of place shape both perception and experience.
Art-making activities for families and children are offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free admission available all day. Visitors can continue their visit by exploring the galleries, enjoying a meal at Verde or spending time on PAMM’s waterfront terrace. The program provides an open, welcoming environment for guests of all ages to engage with contemporary art in a meaningful, hands-on way.
