Frost After Dark: Open Mic Night

Live performances and hands-on creative activities take center stage during an open mic evening at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU. Frost After Dark: Open Mic Night takes place Wednesday, April 1.

Part of the museum’s monthly after-hours series, the program invites musicians, poets, storytellers and other creatives to share original work in an informal, community-oriented setting. Performances are scheduled in the order of check-in, creating an open and accessible platform for participants of all experience levels.

Additional activities throughout the evening include opportunities to create custom mixtapes with FIU’s student radio station The Roar, design collage-style mixtape covers with the Art History Student Association and take part in writing prompts led by STRIKE Magazine. The program is supported by the Art Bridges Foundation and reflects the museum’s ongoing efforts to expand access to arts programming.
