Frost Electroacoustic Ensemble
Apr 13, 2026
Starting: 7:30 PM
Sound, circuitry and found objects converge in an evening of experimental music at the University of Miami.
The Frost Electroacoustic Ensemble performs Monday, April 13 at Clarke Recital Hall in the Weeks Center, under the direction of composer and multimedia artist Juraj Kojs. The program features works that transform everyday objects, toy instruments and natural forces into sources of live electronic sound, blurring the boundaries between acoustic performance and digital manipulation.
Known for its adventurous approach to contemporary music, the ensemble explores real-time electronic processes that amplify, distort and reimagine familiar materials. Ordinary items become instruments, subtle environmental sounds become compositional elements, and technology functions as an active collaborator rather than a backdrop.
Presented in an intimate recital setting, the performance offers audiences a close encounter with innovative sound design and experimental composition. Admission is free.
