Frost Emerging Composers

New works by Frost School of Music student composers take the spotlight in a free concert at Newman Recital Hall. Presented Tuesday, October 20, as part of Frost Music Live’s 2026-2027 season, the program pairs original compositions with performances by fellow Frost musicians under the direction of Shawn Crouch.
The concert offers a snapshot of developing compositional voices across the school, giving student writers an opportunity to hear their work realized in performance while audiences encounter music being created within Frost’s contemporary composition program.
